Web page

Finally, I have created a simple web page using webnode. I have included different resources for primary teachers and for ESL students.

You can click also in the picture to go to my personal webpage.

There is also a little survey in order to know peoples opinions and preferences.

Exam

Doing exams can be a very stressful activity for children, and it can also be a waste of paper, so what if we change the traditional exam's method? How about doing exams in a more active way? What about doing it using different new technologies?

There are different websites which offer us differen evaluation options.

We have created an exam with different types of questions for a little reading. You can see it here

Wiki

A wiki is a Web site that allows users to add and update content on the site using their own Web browser. This is made possible by Wiki software that runs on the Web server. Wikis end up being created mainly by a collaborative effort of the site visitors. A great example of a large wiki is the Wikipedia, a free encyclopedia in many languages that anyone can edit. The term "wiki" comes from the Hawaiian phrase, "wiki wiki," which means "super fast."

I have created a Wiki with three different pages in which I explain 3 different activities which can be done using a wiki. You can click here or in the picture to see this activities.

I have also writen two paragraphs of a story in a wiki created for our classroom, in which we have done a colaborative task.

If you want to read the final story you can click here! :)

Excel spreadsheet

Lots of teachers feel under preasure when evaluating and grading their students. There are so many percentages to take into account, and they can waste a lot of time calculating their marks.

Excel is a really useful task to avoid this waste of time.

I have created an excel spreadsheet considering different criteria to evaluate students. You can have a look at it in this link or in the picture.

It considers different aspects which can be assessed in an English or in a CLIL classroom.

Skype conversation

Have you ever used Skype? It is an  incredible tool when you are abroad. You can make online free calls and it really works!
However, there are more uses. For example, we have used it to record some calls.

Here you can find the skype conversation that we did in class. We talk about the different readings that we have read, what we found interesting about them...
We anwer to the following questions:

  • 1) What have you learned so far in this course? Is it useful for your future practice?
  • 2) What about the readings?
  • 3) Which of the things in Section V and VI would you be more interested in

It is the audio file.

Podomatic

Podomatic is a fantastic website in which you can upload your own podcast and listen to other podcast uploaded by other people. It is great to improve the listening skills!

This is the link in which I have posted a podcast and a lesson plan based on a story called "The rainbow fish"

Hot Potatoes exercices

I have created four different exercises using the programme called "Hot Potatoes", one with each type of task that the programme enable us to use.

You can click in each of the pictures or in the text to see and do the exercises.

     JQuiz                      JMatch                  JMix                     JCloze

If you want to know more about Hot Potatoes you can have a look in this website. There are also some tutorials and materials created by other people which could be useful when starting using Hot Potatoes. I hope this helps you :)
